Let Us Help You Find Your Ideal Used Truck!

As you search for used cars in Victoria, you may have come to realize that there are so many options available. You have many options available, different sizes to choose from, brands to consider, and more. If you’ve narrowed your search down to just body style and have determined a truck is right for you, you still have a lot to consider. We’re here to help you get started.
For instance, if you’re towing for work, you probably want a truck with towing numbers as its top priority so you can tow a lot and do so safely. Let’s say you’re going from Victoria to Corpus Christi with a trailer hitched: the last thing you want is to worry that a bump in the road will cause trouble. On the flip side, if you’re going to use your truck mainly as a hauler and can’t afford to lug a trailer behind, then bed space and dimensions will be your top concern. And if you’re going to have a lot of passengers on a lengthy trip in a full-size truck? You’re probably considering luxury features to keep them entertained and comfortable during the ride.
Today, we want to walk you through some of the used truck options available on our lot so that you know what to expect from each and can decide which truck better serves your purpose. Let’s get started!
What Ford Offers: The F-150
The Ford F-150 comes out of the long-running F-Series, one of the oldest pickup trucks in living memory. If automotive history is important to you, a used F-150 will be right up your alley. Don’t worry: it has benefits beyond being an interesting history lesson. The F-150 has been famed for offering a slew of engine options, perfect for drivers who like a particular feel to their ride. If acceleration is important, the F-150 will serve well, too, as its top engines have sky-high torque and horsepower–one of the most potent gas engines you can get on an F-150 from 2020 onwards is the 3.5L High-Output V6 engine, which clocks in at a whopping 450 hp on 510 lb-ft of torque! The better the horsepower and torque, the better the acceleration and the higher the top speeds. Pair that with a ten-speed automatic transmission, and you have yourself at a fast, strong, and smooth beast.
The F-150 can offer you best-in-class towing depending upon the model year you purchase, ranging from 7,700 to over 13,000 lbs based on your choice of engine and equipment. In terms of cost, you always want to monitor a vehicle’s fuel efficiency. The F-150 is decent, but it’s been beaten out by the Silverado 1500 in recent years with its efficiency. If fuel efficiency is essential, you may want to go with another Ford option: the Ford Maverick. Its fuel efficiency tends to be at the very top of all of Ford’s trucks, regardless of class, at the cost of performance.
Another benefit of the F-150 is space. You can choose from different cab sizes; the largest cab will serve great if you’re shuttling family and friends around Victoria. You’ll especially love it if you want to show the kids all of Texas, as traveling around our great state is fun, but there’s no question that it’s massive and requires some long treks. The size of the F-150 makes these voyages comfortable instead of constraining.

Chevy Silverado 1500: A Recent Favorite
A recent favorite? How could that be? Surely, the Silverado 1500 has been around forever. Well, depends on your point of view.
The Silverado grew out of the C/K truck line around 2000, quickly gaining popularity for its accessibility and versatility. While it is true that the Silverado has nothing on the F-150’s age, since the Silverado 1500 debuted, plenty of other manufacturers started pumping out similar trucks to compete. If the F-150 made trucking accessible to working Americans, then the Silverado 1500 has made the idea of owning a pickup truck enticing to all Americans. Easy to tell why: it’s versatile, with plenty of trims, so you can get a design perfect for what you want. Plan on doing any off-roading in the near future? You better believe there’s a trim of the Silverado 1500 that can handle the roughest road Texas has to offer. Want to bring a boat to the coast? The Silverado 1500’s towing doesn’t always match the F-150’s, but it comes close and can more than handle the day’s mission.
In terms of luxury, the highest trim level of the Silverado 1500, the High Country, has a tough time competing with the F-150 Premium or the F-150 King Ranch, so if you’re looking for the most luxurious truck on the market, the Silverado 1500 might be a tough sell. But if capability and versatility are what you’re after, you’ve got a whole collection of Silverado 1500 models to choose from, be it a Trail Boss, ZR2, LT, RST, High Country, or LTZ, the possibilities are endless! Its base model also tends to be more affordable, although the more features you want, the more the price goes up significantly, even when used.
Toyota’s Competitive Truck: The Tundra
The Toyota Tundra debuted around the same time as the Silverado, but it did not catch on as much as the Chevy Classic did. That’s likely because its history is a bit more up and down. Some model years did not impress, lagging on features and comfort. For instance, in 2018, the Tundra still lacked infotainment options that all other trucks had standard. That can be a drag when a model is new, but it will likely be more affordable when it’s used. If you’re just interested in towing capability, lacking expensive features like that could still make the Tundra a target purchase.
However, Tundra models of the last few years have swung in the opposite direction. From giant touchscreens to tons of infotainment features, the Tundra now has much to offer even as its towing and payload limits can’t hit the heights of other trucks. The suspension is better than ever, with the last five model years boasting a 10-speed automatic transmission, giving you a smooth ride no matter the road you’re on. So, if you’re seeing some dirt Texas roads in your future or even heading out into the desert, the Tundra will keep you from feeling the rigors of off-roading even when you are. The Tundra’s life has had its pros and cons veer wildly over the years, more than in other models. So, if you’re opting for a Tundra, inform yourself of the specific year’s stats before you make the investment.

The Ram 1500: A Quiet Powerhouse
When asked to picture a pickup truck, the average person tends to think of the Silverado 1500 or the F-150, but real truck fans know that the Ram 1500 is one of the best pickups you can purchase. It might be a bit more expensive, but that’s why buying used is so smart: a model a few years old will be far cheaper than a new one, and you’ll still have access to incredible power.
The design of the Ram 1500 is of special note, too. Its front grille is intimidating and makes sure everyone knows it when driving around Victoria. That goes well with its towing and payload limits, which match or come close to matching trucks like the F-150 and Silverado 1500. Its large, muscular build makes this a perfect purchase for anyone who wants to make trucking their lifestyle. This also means its ride is smooth and capable thanks to its commanding stature, which sometimes puts it ahead of competitors when it comes to labor. Reliability is as important as performance stats, and the Ram 1500 is designed to be your favorite co-worker.

Which Size of SUV is Right For You?

Sport utility vehicles (SUVs) are popular among drivers who want more comfort and space than one can get from a coupe or sedan while still being versatile enough to serve different lifestyles based on the driver’s preference. However, several body sizes have emerged within the SUV segment over the years. When you think of an SUV, you might immediately picture a sturdy, boat-like vehicle like a Cadillac Escalade or a GMC Yukon, but there’s a lot more to SUVs than massive body frames and three rows of seating. As the market develops, manufacturers find new ways to cram tremendous value in SUVs of all shapes and sizes, only if you know what you’re looking for and where to find them. Are you shopping for used cars in Victoria and trying to decide which SUV is best for your needs? As your trusted dealer in Victoria, we’d like to offer a quick rundown of the most commonly recognized types of SUVs and the unique advantages they lend to a savvy driver. Let’s get started!
Subcompact
A subcompact SUV is the smallest type of SUV. If you’ve ever seen a small, boxy vehicle on the road with the dimensions of an SUV but the overall size of a coupe or sedan, that was likely a subcompact SUV. Subcompacts offer some of the best parts of an SUV–generous space, fuel efficiency, and versatility–while retaining the same sleek, maneuverable platform as a car, getting you the best of both worlds.
Being some of the smallest SUVs, subcompacts typically seat up to five people. However, what you lose in interior space you make up for in fuel economy. Subcompact SUVs can be some of the most fuel-efficient vehicles on the market, with average EPA-estimated ratings rivaling sedans or coupes despite their greater overall cargo space.
Who Should Drive It?
A subcompact SUV is terrific for anyone entering the SUV space for the first time. If you’ve only driven cars your entire life, jumping right into a large, three-row SUV can be a bit of an adjustment, as you might find it challenging to maneuver the vehicle around dense urban environments or hazardous weather. The beauty of the subcompact is that there’s little to no learning curve in handling it for previous car drivers: models like the Kia Seltos or Kia Soul are designed to offer that signature SUV reliability without compromising the smooth handling of a good car.
Compact
A compact SUV is a step up from the subcompact in size, designed with five seats but offering more rear passenger room and larger cargo space than the average subcompact. Still, compact SUVs remain small enough in dimensions that they typically boast excellent fuel economy, losing just a few MPGs compared to a subcompact SUV on average. Particularly notable for those who live in areas with disastrous winters, all-wheel drive (AWD) is more common in compacts than subcompacts.
Another advantage the average commuter likely doesn’t consider is that compact SUVs don’t slouch in the towing department, as you can expect towing capacities ranging from 1,000 to 3,000 lbs for a compact SUV. For example, the Chevy Equinox has a towing capacity of 1,500 lbs. In comparison, the Kia Sportage has a capacity between 2,000 to 2,500 lbs, depending on the powertrain.
Who Should Drive It?
A compact SUV is ideal for anyone who needs seating for up to five passengers but wants to make sure those passengers are comfortable on long drives. If you want a slightly elevated drive height than what you’d get in a subcompact, consider a compact SUV. Compact SUVs are also the smart choice for drivers who need a practical, fuel-efficient vehicle for commuting and parking in the city but can do some towing in a pinch for those weekend excursions.

Midsize
A midsize SUV is the largest of the five-seater SUVs, featuring greater rear-seat passenger room and cargo space than a compact SUV. When it comes to the midsize, this is where we start to consider powertrains and engines, even in an SUV. While in the subcompact and compact range, you see many I-3 and I-4 engines, in the midsize category, you’ll start to see V6 engines show up as additional options for those looking for a little kick to their SUV. Towing abilities are also more of a mainstay in this category, with midsize SUVs typically boasting towing abilities from 3,000 lbs to 5,000 lbs.
Who Should Drive It?
If you know you’ll be using all five SUV seats regularly and for many long trips, you might consider a midsize SUV for the long haul. Rear-seat passengers typically want as spacious seating as possible for multi-hour drives. If you’re going on lengthy trips, that means that everyone has a lot of belongings to bring, and midsize SUVs boast the best interior cargo space in the five-seat category before you start moving up to the three-rows. You’ll need the larger trunk space if you see yourself going on long road trips with a big family.
Three-Row
As its name promises, a three-row SUV has three rows of seating, with varying available seats. On average, you can find seating for six to eight passengers in a three-row SUV, split between bench seats, captain’s chairs, foldable seats, and other factors depending on the model. The Kia Sorento and Telluride, for example, offer seating for up to seven/eight passengers, either with split-folding second-row bench seats or second-row captain’s chairs (a more luxurious type of passenger seat) for added comfort, depending on the trim level. As you can imagine, three-row SUVs are hefty and powerful, boasting far stronger engines than the midsize segment, and can tow anywhere in the 5,000 to 5,500 lbs range, depending on your choice of powertrain. As mentioned with captain’s chairs, three-row SUVs are among the more luxurious models out of the types we’ve discussed so far, with models like the Cadillac Escalade designed to enhance the experience for everyone in the cabin.

Who Should Drive It?
If your passenger needs vary daily but need at least six seats, check out a three-row SUV. It’s a good choice for those who sometimes need to load up seven or eight passengers but don’t necessarily do so every day or for particularly long drives, acting as a nice “intermediate” between the midsize SUV and the illustrious full-size.
Full-Size
Full-size SUVs encompass the largest SUVs available on the market. If you’re looking for anything larger than these, you’re looking for a full-size van. Full-size SUVs usually have seating for seven or eight passengers and some extended models, like the GMC Yukon XL, even have seating for nine. Naturally, the third row will be more spacious than a three-row SUV, matching the spaciousness of the second row on a midsize. In fact, full-size SUVs are known for offering generous seating space for all three rows. Trunks will also be larger than those of three-row SUVs, boasting the largest interior cargo space in the market. Full-size SUVs tend to sit on truck-like platforms, so if you get one, be ready to handle a lot of steel. Regarding power, full-size SUVs sit in the realm of V8 engines, and average towing capacities range from 8,000 to 9,000 lbs.
Who Should Drive It?
If nothing we’ve discussed in this article is large enough for you, then committing to a full-size SUV is the way to go. If you have a large family, regularly transport co-workers for your business, or have to drive at least seven people around daily, a good full-size SUV will accommodate those needs at a reasonable price. Even if you only need seating for seven but take long trips with lots of cargo to transport, you’re probably still best off with this SUV size. Naturally, if you don’t want to commit to a pickup truck, a full-size SUV is also a good choice for those looking to tow boats or decent-sized campers with them on their trip.

The EV6 Will Leave You Stunned
Dealing with the daily grind of commuting doesn’t have to be expensive or mundane when you drive a Kia EV6. The EV6 is an all-electric five-passenger sporty crossover that offers style, performance, and lots of savings with every mile. If you’re thinking about going electric, the EV6 is here to transform how you commute.
In the latest EV6, drivers can get up to 310 miles per battery charge. That means fretting about what is going on with gas prices is a thing of the past. Commuters can easily charge their EV6 at home while they sleep. The EV6’s tech allows drivers to remotely control the charge of their car, start their engine, and even control the cabin temperature. Surely, it can’t get more convenient than that! But wait… it does. Stop by a public charging station and enjoy DC fast charging while you pick up lunch. With DC Fast Charging, you can boost your battery quicker than ever, going from 10% to 80% in as little as eighteen minutes.
The EV6 injects a thrill into your daily drive. Responsive handling means a smooth drive when weaving through traffic or dealing with the start-stop flow of city lights. Hit the highway and go from 0-60 in under five seconds. Meanwhile, e-AWD delivers increased traction and performance for slick roads. A heat pump helps preserve your car’s range in the winter, while inside the cabin, a heated steering wheel helps keep you toasty on cold early mornings. There is heated and ventilated seating to go with that heated steering wheel and heated rear seats as well. You’re going to be the go-to driver for the office carpool when you drive an EV6. Impressive cargo room makes the EV6 capable of handling work materials, groceries, luggage, and anything else you might need.
Suppose that’s not enough to convince you to elevate your daily commute with the EV6. In that case, the electric car boasts the title of 2023 North American Utility Vehicle of the Year and was named the #1 Brand in a Vehicle Dependability Study by J.D. Power. For drivers looking for a good-looking commuter vehicle that fits their needs and their budget, the EV6 is a very smart choice. Comfortable seating and modern style are elevated by the EV’s smooth performance. Let the rest of the world rush while you enjoy the ride in the EV6.

10 Trim Options of the 2024 Kia Telluride

Competition is what drives commerce, but even more importantly, innovation. Brands are forced to continually improve in order to keep up with their competition and stand out in a crowded market. This seems to be especially true when considering the SUV market, which is more crowded than ever before. Browsing the available Houston Kia dealers might come down to options, and in considering options, you might be overwhelmed by exactly how many there are.
Just because there is a parade of SUVs to choose from doesn’t mean they are all the same. Some manufacturers stand out a bit more than others, embracing the idea of rivalry. With that in mind, we want to draw your attention to the 2024 Kia Telluride-a model that serves as an example of what is possible when competition breeds innovation.
Discover The Vast Selections Of The Telluride Trims
Many models make it a point to offer a selection of trims to choose from so it is easy to get exactly what you want. You might see a selection of three trims-maybe five or even seven-offering you a wide range to choose from. The 2024 Kia Telluride trim lineup consists of ten… let that sink in.
Starting with the entry-level LX trim and riding the wave all the way to the SX Prestige X-Pro trim, you might find yourself getting a tad dazed by options. Luckily, that is precisely what a trim guide like this is for. We simplify your options so you can make the best decision to suit you and your family. Instead of focusing on what each trim offers, let’s instead focus on the offerings and which trims offer the features you want.
Color Us Impressed With The Telluride
We think it is fairly safe to say that what color a vehicle is on the outside and what the interior looks like matters a great deal to most people. Some people are drawn to white cars or black cars, maybe silver or even champagne. Others might be drawn to red, green, or even pink and blue-having a multitude of options can help everyone get what they want the most.
The higher you go in the Telluride trim line, the more color options are available to you. Each trim is available in four base colors-Everlasting Silver, Gravity Gray, Ebony Black, and Glacial White Pearl. With the exception of the LX base trim, they all also offer Dark Moss and Midnight Lake Blue. From there, the color selection becomes broader, if a bit confusing. Dawning Red is available on all trims except the LX, SX X-Pro, and the SX Prestige X-Pro. X-Line and X-Pro trims also offer Jungle Green and Wolf Gray, finishing off a rather varied selection of trim colors.
Inside, the Telluride offers a similar hefty helping of color options but also mixes up upholstery offerings as well. Although the LX is only available in Black SynTex Seat Trim, the rest vary to include leather and Nappa leather. Black, Gray, Terracotta, Mahogany, Sage Green, and a dual combo of Gray and Navy are available on select trims.

Comfort And Convenience To Match
Although you want a nice-looking interior, you also want an interior with comfort and safety features, and the Telluride has plenty. All trim levels offer Dual-Zone Auto Climate Control w/ Auto De-Fog System with a rear control for back seat occupants. Anyone who has ever spent time in the back of an SUV understands what a nice addition this is. Speaking of the back seat, all trims include 60/40 Split-Folding and Reclining Third-Row seats, making it easy and convenient to make the most out of the spacious and refined Telluride. To make accessing the third row easy, all Telluride trims are equipped with a One-Touch Sliding & Folding Second-Row Seat feature, which eliminates the back seat climb struggle.
Whether you are sitting in the front and enjoying the heated front seats, which come standard on all trims but the LX, or you are sitting in the rear, you will be able to see the expansive and vibrant 12.3-inch Touchscreen Display. This comes standard on all trims, which is nice since many brands require upgrades to get a large display. The touchscreen also includes built-in Navigation and even a blue light filter to minimize the eye strain that can come with excessive screen use.
Starting at the EX trim, all higher-end options receive front ventilation and include an eight-way Power Passenger’s Seat w/ two-way Power Lumbar Adjustment. In the LX and S trims, the front passenger seats are manually adjusted with only six settings. The next three trims-the EX, the EX X, and the SX-are upgraded to power-adjusted seating for the driver with more settings and lumbar control. Drivers of the remaining trims are treated like royalty with a ten-way driver seat that also offers an assortment of additional adjustments for ultimate comfort.
As the royal family of the Telluride, the top three trim options-the SX Prestige, the SX Prestige X, and the SX Prestige S-Pro-are upholstered with Nappa leather and suede liners. To spread the luxury treatment, they also include second-row ventilation and heating. Higher-end Telluride trims treat everyone the way they deserve, but even the lower-end trims are sleek and comfortable.
Safety Secures Across The Trims
Thankfully, the Telluride comes with a comforting array of standard safety features, so whichever trim you choose, you are well-protected. All trims include Blind-Spot Collision Warning, which specifically monitors the blind areas around the vehicle and provides an auditory or visual alert if a vehicle is detected. Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist is another standard feature across the board that monitors hard-to-see areas. Sensors, which are tucked away in the rear of the vehicle, monitor cross traffic to provide an audible or visual warning if an object is detected in the rear, using supported braking if necessary.
Programs specifically designed to keep you safe on the highway are also included in each trim. These include Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assist, and Lane Following Assist, which help keep you centered in your lane and properly spaced from other vehicles. Other standard features work in a similar fashion to keep a driver paying attention to other vehicles and the current road conditions. Intelligent Speed Limit Assist, which provides speed limit updates, and Driver Attention Warning, which draws attention back to the road, are both examples of these innovative safety solutions.
One more standard feature in all Telluride trims that is definitely worth noting is the Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control w/ Stop & Go-Curve. It is a mouthful for sure, but also a truly helpful program. Using navigation information, the program can detect upcoming curves and control speed to adjust properly to them. Using similar technology, base trims are equipped with Highway Driving Assist 1.5, which can assist highway driving by controlling the vehicle’s steering, acceleration, and deceleration. The higher trim levels include an upgraded version of this-Highway Driving Assist 2-which also includes automatic lane changing and machine learning functions.
The sheer number of safety systems and programs included in the Telluride is remarkable, keeping you safe no matter where the road takes you. Obviously, higher-end trims will offer a bit more, with the SX trim acting as a separation among the trim levels. The SX is the fifth trim in the series and where even more safety features begin to add up-like a Surround View Monitor. You will certainly be safe with any of these trims, but if you want every bell and whistle, consider the SX or higher to get the ultimate in safety technology.

The Telluride Tells A Tale Of Excellence
Often, when a model has a lot of trims available, the base trims are designed with a bare minimum of features. Luckily, the Telluride avoids this faux pas and provides ample features across the board. Starting with the base trim LX, you get just enough to make the Telluride comfortable and enjoyable without tipping the scales into top-end price tag territory. As you climb the ladder, things do get more luxurious, and at the top of the trim line, you find yourself in the lap of luxury.
If you are looking for a spacious, safe, and comfortable SUV that offers the latest technology and modern styling, the 2024 Kia Telluride is a ride you won’t want to miss. Choose from ten trim options that cater to your specific, individual demands. Whichever Telluride you end up in, we hope you have the ride of your life.

Commuters in San Antonio deserve a great vehicle so that their trips to work and back home do not add any stress to their lives. We know you’re busy, and work can add some stress already, so we want to ensure your commute does not add to your troubles. Whether you’re commuting around San Antonio or taking longer trips to Victoria or Corpus Christi, you want to have full faith in your vehicle. It should be able to manage the streets of Texas’ cities just as well as its highways.
If you’ve been searching for a fantastic San Antonio Kia dealer with an impressive selection and a team that’s dedicated to getting you behind the wheel of a great commuter vehicle, make your first stop at Victory Kia, located in Victoria. When you step through our doors, you’ll want to immediately check out the Kia Forte. These sedans are capable, safe, fun, and very affordable. We want to walk you through why the Kia Forte is ideal for commuters so that you make certain to make the Forte your next purchase. If you want commuting to be a breeze, then the Forte is your answer. Let’s see why.
Fewer Stops at the Pump
We’re all too familiar with how gas prices can fluctuate. From the COVID lows to the post-COVID highs, gas prices seem to fluctuate daily. If you don’t want to feel like your weekly budget will be thrown into chaos thanks to events totally out of your control, then the Kia Forte should be your pick. Its fuel efficiency is a hallmark, and it’s one of the initial reasons the Forte gained fame. Kia has made certain that all its vehicles are fuel efficient so that customers who buy one know they’re making a smart investment and guaranteeing themselves long-term savings.
Look no further than the 2024 Kia Forte to see fuel efficiency on full display. The FE trim of the Forte has a combined fuel economy rating of 34 MPG and a highway rating of 41 MPG. This means that, on average, you only use one gallon of gas for every 34 miles you travel; on the highway, where there’s likely to be less stop-and-go, you can go as far as 41 miles before using a gallon of gas. So, if you’re roaring down I-37, you won’t be using up nearly as much gas as others are.
This will give your bank account a break since visits to the gas station will be few and far between. You’ll be able to spend your hard-earned money on things that excite you instead of seeing it vanish at the pump. Previous models of the Kia Forte have provided mileage that is almost equal to the current model. For a while now, the Forte has been providing excellent fuel efficiency, which is why so many of our customers have fallen in love with it.

A Comfortable and Easy Ride
When commuting around San Antonio or the surrounding areas, you want to know you can travel comfortably. If you have to do long-distance commuting from time to time, say heading all the way to Dallas or Houston, you know the importance of a welcoming driver’s seat. Texas is a large state, so it takes some time to get across; you do not want to sit in a lumpy seat or deal with a less-than-adequate infotainment system.
The Forte’s interior will always be spacious so the driver doesn’t feel cramped. After all, a driver in discomfort is a safety issue; that’s why Kia makes certain the cabin grants the driver plenty of room. You’ll also have available ventilated seats, which will be a real relief on hot, humid days thanks to the seats’ additional air circulation. The climate control is outstanding, but the ventilated seating gives you an extra boost of comfort.
Your driver’s seat will be customizable, too, with an available 10-way power-adjustable option, depending on the trim you choose. This way, you can sit in the exact position you want so that you’re satisfied no matter how long your commute is that day. This will help not just your comfort but also your level of alertness and your long-term posture.
Infotainment is also top-notch. Your Forte can easily connect to your device, and you can upgrade to a Harman Kardon 8-speaker system. However, what we love most is that while you have access to a touchscreen that can manage almost everything in your car, you also have tactile controls you can use if you prefer. We often find that drivers find using tactile controls simpler than the touchscreen, especially for volume control, when they’re driving to work. Whatever your preference is, the Forte is designed with your comfort and convenience in mind.
Exceptional Performance
With its available 1.6L turbocharged engine that can produce 201 hp, the Forte has a bit of power behind it. That goes well with its sporty look, which ensures you’ll always look dapper when you’re on the road. You’ll be able to quickly take off from stationary, which will be a relief for those of you who too often find yourself stuck on the entrance ramp on Route 281, waiting for a long break in traffic because your current ride has awful acceleration. Trust us: having a car that can get you onto the highway with ease is invaluable.
The Forte’s drive is nimble, too, so zipping around the streets of San Antonio will be a breeze. Its high-quality engine means you won’t feel every bump in the road. In fact, even at high speeds, you will not get the sense your sedan is struggling to keep up. For those of you who have to make long-distance trips for work, you’ll be happy to know that your Forte won’t be letting you down on them. It can be stressful to take a trip when you do not have full faith in your vehicle; a Forte will give you the confidence you need, no matter where your travels take you.

Comfort and Convenience for an Affordable Price
We’ve saved our favorite tidbit for last: you’ll get all these benefits at an affordable price. Other sedans in the same price range offer much less and have far weaker capabilities. We also know that no other models look close to as good as the Forte; you can show up at any destination proud of your sedan and how it looks.

The daily commute around Victoria, TX, can be a strenuous one, but when the weekend comes, you can head out on an adventure to the Gulf of Mexico to do some boating or make your way out into the desert with your favorite recreational vehicles in tow. But, of course, that requires a vehicle with a high enough towing capacity. Victory Kia is your premier used SUV dealer, and we are proud to bring you an inventory stocked with used SUVs with high tow ratings. But which models are known for their towing prowess? No matter what you need to tow, we have something in our inventory that can handle it. Here’s the inside scoop on the best options available on the used SUV market.
The Ford Explorer
Ford is a brand that has a long-established reputation for offering reliable vehicles, and its SUVs are known for offering high towing capacities. Choosing a used Ford Explorer means getting a stylish SUV that is also a workhorse when it comes to towing heavy loads. Within the last few years, Ford has upped the ante with this SUV’s towing capabilities, adding more power and technology. For example, the 2020 Ford Explorer can be equipped with the optional Class III Trailer Tow Package. This allows it to tow up to 5,600 lbs when properly equipped. You can easily tow a small camper, boat, or ATVs for your adventures in and around Victoria.
The Chevrolet Tahoe
Heavy lifting is something for which the Chevy Tahoe – a sturdy full-size SUV – is renowned. As a used SUV dealer, we tend to see a lot of used Tahoes come onto our lot, and they often quickly get scooped up. Buyers looking for powerful towing capabilities have this model in hot demand. Based on the year and trim level you purchase, a used Chevy Tahoe can tow somewhere between 6,400 and 8,600 lbs. You will have no trouble pulling a huge camper or trailer containing your outdoor gear, given this high towing capacity. On top of that, the Tahoe has a spacious cabin that lets you and your passengers travel in comfort.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee
Perhaps you are interested in finding a used SUV that embodies a solid blend of massive towing power and rugged off-roading capabilities. If that is the case, the Jeep Grand Cherokee is a top-tier choice. It has long been a staple of the Jeep lineup and has a solid reputation for tackling difficult terrain, including vast desertscapes. Does the Grand Cherokee tow as much as some full-size SUVs? No. Does it hold its own? Absolutely! Depending on which engine you have and the equipment added on, a used Jeep Grand Cherokee can tow anywhere between 3,500 and 7,200 lbs. Go on, take your boat or camper out for your next epic vacation along the Gulf. This SUV has your back.
The Toyota 4Runner
Another strong contender in the towing department is one that might surprise you. The Toyota 4Runner is a well-loved SUV that outdoors enthusiasts buy because it has immense off-roading prowess and is remarkably durable. However, it can tow a good amount of weight. A used Toyota 4Runner can tow 5,000 lbs, which might not seem like a lot at first. However, it more than makes up for this with its magnificent off-roading capabilities. If you want to hit the trails and need to tow a small camper or trailer, a used 4Runner might be just the traveling companion for you.
The GMC Yukon
Another full-size SUV that boasts magnificent towing capabilities is the GMC Yukon. A used Yukon, when properly equipped, has no problem towing 8,500 lbs based on the engine option and trim level configuration. Whether you are taking the family out for a fun camping trip or heading out on a cross-country excursion with your best buds, the Yukon can confidently tow a large trailer. What’s more, the cabin is cavernous and cozy. You will have plenty of space for your passengers and your cargo, making this a solid choice for those who need a lot of space and strong towing capabilities.
The Dodge Durango
A midsize SUV like the Dodge Durango often gets overlooked when it comes to towing, but you should not underestimate this vehicle. For the past few years, Dodge has been giving the Durango some strong engine options that let this vehicle tow alongside the best of them. A used Dodge Durango can tow between 6,200 and 8,700 lbs, depending on which engine you equip. This means you can handle different recreational equipment and trailers. Also, given this vehicle’s sporty design and comfy cabin, this is a strong choice for those who wish for a balance of practicality and performance.

The Subaru Ascent
Maybe you are looking for a more fuel-efficient option that leaves a smaller carbon footprint as you go. A model that does this without compromising on towing capabilities is the Subaru Ascent. As a midsize SUV, the Ascent does not have the exceedingly high towing capacity that some of the other models in this list possess, but it is no slouch at all. Able to tow up to 5,000 lbs, the Subaru Ascent makes for a vehicle that can tow smaller boats and trailers. What helps set the Ascent apart from its rivals is its standard all-wheel drive (AWD), which gives you the traction you need to tow in difficult conditions. If you are an eco-conscious driver looking for something with decent towing abilities, the Ascent might just check all your boxes.
The Nissan Pathfinder
In terms of versatility, you cannot do much better than the Nissan Pathfinder – a midsize SUV that has long been a favorite among families. Nissan has recently gone to town to enhance the vehicle’s towing capacity, making it even more attractive to people who want to do a fair amount of towing. You can find a used Pathfinder that will tow up to 6,000 lbs when properly equipped, making it so that you can tow a small boat, a camper, or a few jet skis. Complete with a cozy interior design and a slew of helpful safety features; the Pathfinder is a practical option for busy families on the go.
The Volkswagen Atlas
It is hard to stand out in the crowded midsize SUV segment, but the Volkswagen Atlas can accomplish such a feat. Its comfortable ride quality and generous-on-space cabin make the Atlas attractive, but buyers get a pleasant surprise: it can tow a fair amount of weight. The Atlas can tow up to 5,000 lbs when properly equipped. If you need to tow smaller boats or trailers but want to enjoy a luxurious interior, the Atlas is worth checking out. On top of all that, Volkswagen gives you a user-friendly infotainment system with many fun features to help keep you connected while on the go.

The Honda Pilot
Last but not least, the midsize Honda Pilot is an SUV that combines utility, dependability, and – you guessed it – towing capacity. Honda has repeatedly enhanced the Pilot’s towing abilities over the years, which is why it is a strong choice for anyone needing a family-oriented SUV with strong towing abilities. Properly equipped, the Pilot easily tows up to 5,000 lbs. Tow different recreational equipment and trailers confidently and enjoy the comfortable ride quality you get from the user-oriented Pilot.
The Kia Telluride
Lastly, we cannot forget a model from the brand we proudly sell to our Victoria area drivers. While there’s an array of capable models we could recommend, there is one particular standout vehicle we never hesitate to recommend, and that is the Telluride. Its spacious cabin is complemented by its impressive towing capabilities, allowing you to tow everything from small campers for that weekend camping trip or a pair of jet skis for a day at the lake. Telluride models from recent model years, like those from 2020, 2021, and 2022 can tow up to 5,000 lbs. This means that an investment in a pre-owned model will offer you both exceptional value and unbeatable strength.

8 Best Used SUVs for Fuel Efficiency in Victoria, TX

There was a time when “SUVs” and “fuel efficiency” only belonged in a sentence together when someone was complaining about how inefficient such large vehicles were. That time has gone, however, and the options on the market these days include plenty of great vehicles that give you the spaciousness and functionality of an SUV combined with terrific fuel economy. As your used SUV dealer , we pride ourselves on offering a fantastic selection of pre-owned SUVs and crossover models to meet pretty much any need. This includes the needs of our customers looking for something they can count on to get where they need to go without costing an arm and a leg at the gas pump.
One of the most important things to note before we dive into some of our favorite options for fuel-efficient SUVs is that the best gas mileage will almost always come from hybrid models. Whether you’re considering a standard hybrid or a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) that offers a limited all-electric range, these models dominate when it comes to fuel economy. The second thing to consider is that smaller vehicles generally have superior fuel efficiency compared to larger ones; small sizes need less power to get around and have engines focused more on efficiency than acceleration and performance. With that in mind, let’s check out eight of the best options to look for as you shop for a used SUV with excellent fuel economy.
The Kia Niro
As a compact crossover model, the Kia Niro has everything we look for in a great SUV that delivers the perfect combination of style, interior space, and terrific fuel efficiency. Since we’re a Kia dealership, we’re probably a bit biased in our love for the Kia lineup and the Niro, but that doesn’t change the fact that this is a fantastic vehicle and an excellent choice for many drivers. It’s been on the market since 2017, and in that time, it has won over a lot of drivers with its sporty performance and terrific options. It comes with standard engines, as a hybrid or as a PHEV, for superior overall capability. Looking at a 2020 Kia Niro, for example, a hybrid FE version can get an estimated 50 MPG of combined fuel economy, while the PHEV version has 105 MPG equivalent (MPGe) of combined gas mileage thanks to its electrified design.
The Toyota RAV4
Overall, the Toyota RAV4 is one of the most popular SUVs on the market and a favorite of many drivers year after year. While a lot of folks like to hang onto their RAV4 for a long time, you can still find plenty of them when looking at used SUVs, and they’re one of our favorite options as we take customers through different vehicles. If we look at a 2019 RAV4, a hybrid model gets an estimated 40 MPG of combined fuel economy, while versions with the standard engine get an estimated 30 MPG of combined fuel efficiency even with all-wheel drive (AWD) performance, giving you great gas mileage and excellent capability.

The Honda HR-V
Another excellent vehicle for a wide range of drivers, the Honda HR-V is a subcompact crossover that can fit into pretty much any lifestyle while giving you terrific gas mileage. The second-generation HR-V was released for the 2016 model year and is the version you should typically focus on when shopping for a used model. These vehicles are well known for their great performance and stylish design plus high efficiency; a 2020 Honda HR-V can get an estimated 30 MPG of combined fuel economy, making it a good overall choice to watch for.
The Mazda CX-3
One of the smallest models in Mazda’s lineup, the CX-3 is a subcompact crossover that first hit city streets with the 2016 model year and ran through 2021. Although it’s recently been discontinued here in the US and replaced by the similar CX-30, this was still a terrific vehicle, and the fact that there’s a newer and flashier option makes this a great choice as you look at used SUVs. A Mazda CX-3 from 2018, for example, can get an estimated 31 MPG of combined fuel economy with front-wheel drive (FWD) or an estimated 29 MPG of combined fuel efficiency if you look at an AWD model.
The Kia Soul
Although you could argue that the Kia Soul is a surprisingly spacious hatchback, we still like to think of it as a subcompact crossover; any way you describe it, this is a fantastic vehicle designed to meet the needs of a wide range of drivers. Like so many Kia vehicles, it’s been offered with a variety of drivetrains and engines that deliver different driving experiences. Looking at a 2020 Kia Soul, for example, you can find all-electric models with more than 200 miles of driving range, as well as standard gas-powered versions that can get an estimated 31 MPG of combined fuel economy.
The Nissan Rogue
Another terrific compact crossover option, the Nissan Rogue is one of the most popular models on the market and a great choice overall. Since so many of these have sold since it was first introduced, the Rogue is a fantastic model to look for when considering different used SUVs. Like many of our top picks, it has been offered with both standard and hybrid engines over the years, so keep that in mind while shopping. A 2019 Nissan Rogue, for example, can get an estimated 34 MPG with its available hybrid engine or up to 29 MPG of combined fuel economy with its standard gas engine.

The Ford Escape
If you prefer domestic brands from here in the US, the Ford Escape is one of our favorite choices for a great crossover model that delivers gas mileage beyond many of its competitors. The Escape is a compact crossover that’s been available for more than 20 years and won over a lot of fans in that time with its sleek design, outstanding performance, and comfortable interiors. Since Ford has offered the Escape with hybrid powertrains for many years, you can find models with truly remarkable fuel economy. A 2020 Ford Escape with its available hybrid engine can get an estimated 41 MPG of combined fuel efficiency, making it one of the best options available for keeping gas costs down.
The Buick Encore
Another one of our favorites from a domestic manufacturer, the Buick Encore is a subcompact crossover that shares much of its engineering with the Chevy Trax. As a Buick, it offers more refined options than the Chevy model. Its small design and sleek performance make it a great choice for many drivers, especially anyone interested in a subcompact option that doesn’t feel too barebones. Although it was recently replaced by the Buick Envista, an older Encore is a great choice if you want a used SUV with impressive fuel economy. A 2018 Encore, for example, can get an estimated 30 MPG of combined gas mileage with FWD.
Find the Used SUV with Everything You Need
As you can see, you have no shortage of options to consider and choose from when looking at used SUVs, even if terrific fuel economy is your top concern. No matter what you’re searching for, finding and buying a great pre-owned SUV becomes much easier when you choose a dealership that puts your needs first and focuses on getting you the best vehicle possible. It’s important to consider a variety of factors when it comes to fuel efficiency, including the engine, drive type, and how well-maintained the vehicle was by previous owners; the right dealership will help you with all of this and give you the facts you need to choose the perfect vehicle. Come visit us at Victory Kia today to see our impressive selection of used SUVs, and we’ll make sure you drive away in one with terrific fuel economy.

The Kia Telluride earns accolades from even the most jaded members of the automotive press. With three rows of seats and a spacious cargo area, you’ll fit up to six friends and all their fishing gear effortlessly. You’ll also have no issue towing your boat to the coast, thanks to the Telluride’s impressive 5,000-lb max tow rating. Kia’s legendary reliability, combined with a best-in-class warranty, make long-term ownership a no-brainer.

Performance and Efficiency
One popular aspect of this vehicle is its unparalleled performance. All trims of the midsize SUV feature a hefty 3.8-liter V6 engine that outputs 291 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. It has front and all-wheel drive configurations and uses an eight-speed automatic transmission. Those on the fence about a brand-new SUV should note that the 2023 Kia Telluride offers the same performance, meaning it continues the level of performance provided by the previous model.
Regarding speed, the new Telluride should accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 6.8 seconds, making merging onto the highway a breeze. This is according to a road test conducted by Car and Driver with the X-Line trim of the Telluride. People looking to save at the fuel pump should consider the front-wheel drive versions, as they grant an average of 20 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on the highway. The all-wheel drive versions aren’t far off, with 18 MPG in the city and 24 MPG on the highway.

A Welcoming Cabin Enhanced With Cutting-Edge Tech

First, the Telluride is an incredibly spacious SUV, providing room for all sorts of activities and storage; putting the rear seats down will offer you an impressive 87 cu.ft. of space. The cabin of the Telluride is also top-notch because of the excellent build quality, even on the lower trims. On the technology front, the 2024 Telluride comes standard with a 12.3-inch touchscreen with navigation. This is notable because all trims have the same size screen, so every trim can take advantage of utilizing a large screen. The lower trims have a 6-speaker sound system, while the higher-end options have a 10-speaker Harman Kardon system. Additionally, the new Telluride has the available Driver Talk feature, which allows drivers to talk to their rear-seat passengers via a cabin microphone and speakers so all on board can hear them. Overall, the Telluride has a well-made and attractive interior; it’s welcoming for the whole family.

Additionally, it allows pre-cooling and heating through the Kia Access app. This comes in handy for both hot and cold days, as you can turn on the AC before getting into the car. It also has Dual-Zone Auto Climate Control on all trims. An Abundance of Standard Safety and Driver Assistance Features
All trims of the 2024 Kia Telluride have a suite of standard safety features via its Drive Wise technology. These features include Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance Assist and Warning, Forward Collision Warning, Rear Parking Distance Warning, and Lane Departure Warning. These features not only keep drivers and passengers safe, but they keep other drivers and pedestrians around you safe as well.
The vehicle also has a ton of active and passive safety features. These include things such as an array of airbags, Rear-View Monitor with Dynamic Parking Guidance, Vehicle Stability Management, Hill Start Assist Control, and Downhill Brake Control. It also has Rollover Sensing, which will deploy side airbags in the event that the vehicle rolls over. These standard safety and driver assistance tools will give you the confidence you need to tackle any journey.
A Stunning Exterior
The new Kia Telluride is popular partly because of its bold exterior that is sure to turn heads on the highway or downtown. Regarding wheels, it comes standard with 18-inch alloy wheels with a silver finish. However, moving up the trim levels gives you access to 20-inch alloy wheels. Luckily, the Telluride is one of the few new SUVs that still comes with a spare tire. The headlights are state-of-the-art projector beams, and with the proper setting, they can turn on and off depending on the environmental lighting conditions. In general, the Telluride’s exterior did not undergo a major change from last year’s model but rather built upon the already sleek-looking model.

When it’s time to purchase your next vehicle, there are many routes you can take, especially when you’re looking at used car sales. There are dealerships, but then there are all of those other less-vetted marketplaces. You find paper signs posted around your neighborhood about a vehicle for sale. You see a vehicle you’re interested in on Craigslist. Maybe you hear from a friend of a friend that somebody has the model you’re after. Going these less official routes can be tempting, especially because many shoppers have the misconception that they’ll pay premiums at dealerships.
In reality, private sellers might give you the worst price because they’re just selling one vehicle. They could be relying entirely on the profit of that one car to bankroll their rent or purchase their next vehicle. Dealerships, on the other hand, are in the business of housing and selling dozens of vehicles. Because we carry so much inventory and are making sales regularly, we are often more ready to give you an excellent deal than your neighbor’s cousin, who is selling that old Camaro he’s emotionally attached to. When that price for a three-year-old Kia Sorento on Facebook Marketplace looks too good to be true, it probably is. Here are seven reasons to shop with a dealership instead of a private seller.
An Extensive Inventory All in One Place
If you shop with private sellers, you will have to drive all over the city, and maybe even the state, to check out a handful of models. We’ve even met customers who admitted they crossed state lines to check out a vehicle. Your private seller is only going to have one vehicle to show you. If it’s not for you, you’re on your way and have to drive to the next seller. Ask yourself what your time is worth because at a dealership, you can see dozens of models, all in one place. You won’t have to spend a full day running around to private sellers.
At Victory Kia, for example, we have a vast array of used Kia vehicles, as well as models from other top names. So you can check out tons of manufacturers all in one place. Plus, we have relationships with other dealerships and are part of a larger network. If we don’t have the vehicle you want, we can likely find it for you. A private seller simply can’t do that.
Work With a Knowledgeable Team
Our dealership has a team filled with experts whose job it is to know about vehicles. When you work with a private seller, they will likely only know about the one model they’re selling. Meanwhile, a dealership like ours has sales personnel who know about not just one model but different generations, trims, and comparable models. They can help you determine which vehicle has the exact features that will be right for you. Sometimes, private sellers aren’t even familiar with all of the features of the exact model they’re selling. They aren’t a car expert; they’re just a person trying to sell one car. If you want professional guidance, you need to work with a dealership.
Trade-In Offers You’ll Love
We love when shoppers trade in their old vehicles with us. It helps us keep a constantly rotating selection of inventory, and we love to reward drivers who participate in our trade-in program. For that reason, we regularly offer specials to customers who trade in, helping them finance their next vehicle.
When you shop with a private seller, you’ll have to handle the sale of your old vehicle elsewhere. Rarely the person selling a vehicle would also like to purchase yours, so you have to dedicate a lot of extra time to getting rid of your old vehicle. That means listing it yourself, negotiating, handling low-ball offers, meeting people for test drivers, and more. When you trade in your old vehicle with us, we’ll take care of the paperwork so you can feel confident that all pertinent transfers were handled correctly. Plus, we’ll give you a fair offer.

Financing Options
Shopping with a private seller means making payments on their terms. Many want cash, and those who are willing to work with buyers who are getting financing don’t have much patience. If you need even just a couple of days for your loan to come through, the seller might move on to another buyer.
On the other hand, we empower our customers with many finance options. Once you find a vehicle you love, you’ll handle financing right here at our dealership. You can get approved on the spot, so there’s no waiting around for a loan to go through. We also have relationships with many lenders, allowing us to show you tons of payment packages. Private sellers typically want you to approach them with payment in hand. Dealerships will patiently help you figure out financing and provide you with tons of options.
Avoid Bidding Wars
If you shop with a private seller, you’re bound to get into a bidding war with other interested buyers. You’ll make an offer, but someone else will make a higher one, and suddenly you’re in a back-and-forth as the price rises. You’ll never get into a bidding war at our dealership. Once you’re interested in a vehicle, you’ll move on to figuring out a price and payment plan with one of our sales team members. You can enjoy the shopping process without feeling pressured or rushed. If you need some time to think about a vehicle and find that when you return, somebody purchased it, the good news is that we likely have others just like it. That won’t happen with a private seller.
Dealership Warranties
One thing a private seller cannot offer you is their own special warranty. If you’re lucky, some of the manufacturer’s warranty might be left on the vehicle, but that’s it. Meanwhile, at Victory Kia, we offer a dealership lifetime warranty on the powertrain of all new and most used vehicles. That means you’ll be covered should something happen to the vehicle’s components, like the engine or transmission. And that can save you tons of money on repairs down the line.
This is just one of the assurances you get with a dealership that you won’t get with an individual buyer. When you shop with an individual, you might realize the vehicle is a total lemon after buying it. Then, you might discover that the person who sold it to you is nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, when you shop with us, you always know where to find us. If something comes up with your vehicle, just come back, and we’ll work hard to find a fair resolution.

Service Specials for Customers
We don’t only want to sell our customers excellent vehicles; we also want to help them take care of their cars. That’s why we have a terrific service and parts department ready to help you maintain and service your vehicle. Our technicians are Kia experts, so you’ll instantly be working with a team that knows the ins and outs of your model. Plus, we offer coupons and specials on routine maintenance as well as service and parts to our dealership companies. When you purchase a vehicle from a private seller, you’re on your own in terms of finding the right service department or technicians who specialize in your model.

Warranties include 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain and 5-year/60,000-mile basic. All warranties and roadside assistance are limited. See retailer for warranty details.
