2021 will see the return of the Electric Kia Soul EV. The car manufacturer took a break in 2020 but has come back with upgrades and additions that have drivers everywhere excited. Kia is only offering two trim levels for the Kia Soul EV, and both of them are affordable. There is the base model which is simply called Kia Soul EV as well as the Designer Collection. The Designer Collection is full of features and modern luxuries that will have drivers forgetting that it is an electric vehicle.

2021 Electric Kia Soul EV vs 2021 Kia Soul

The engine and fuel usage isn’t the only way the Kia Soul EV differs from its gasoline counterpart the Kia Soul. Many things are the same such as the body design and much of the interior. However, there are some subtle differences, one of which is the shift lever. The Kia Soul will still have the traditional lever while the Kia Soul EV will have a circular knob that drivers will use to change gears.

The Kia Soul also offers different screen sizes for the infotainment system but the Kia Soul EV only offers one large touchscreen. One thing that is the same for both the Kia Soul EV and its gasoline counterpart are the safety features. They both enjoy the features that support Kia’s high safety features. 

The pricing also sets these two models apart. The Kia Soul starts at a little over $17,000 while the Kia Soul EV starts at $35,000.
